Kevin is CEO and Founder of Acceptiv. Prior to forming Acceptiv, he set up and managed a company, Insight Decision Solutions, that provided data warehousing and analytics to insurance companies for 15 years. It was in this role providing analytics to insurance companies that he saw the need for all insurance companies to accelerate the new business and underwriting processes. Kevin has also held senior positions at insurance companies in the UK and Canada, including CEO of Claim Analytics and Vice President, Actuarial of Foresters. During his career he has been responsible for marketing, compliance, administrative and actuarial functions.
Kevin is a regular speaker at industry meetings and has published several articles. He has served on several SOA section councils and Microsoft’s Partner Advisory Council, he is currently on the SOA's Professional Development Committee and chairs the SOA Annual Meeting.
Kevin qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK) in 1992 and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (US) in 2004.
Steve Fretwell is the Chairman of the Acceptiv Advisory Board and is responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance to Acceptiv and their partner companies.
Steve has 24 years experience in the Canadian Insurance industry having held a variety of sales and marketing roles for life and health insurance companies in Canada with experience in designing and implementing business development strategies for all lines of employee benefits.
Steve is also Managing Director for Employee Benefits and Pension at JLT Canada, responsible for driving organic growth, the acquisition of business and people, and building and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects.
Steve is a regular speaker at industry meetings and also sits on the Board of Directors of OLD CROWS Football – the private funding arm of Carleton University's Football Program.
Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Carleton University and the ADVOCIS CLU designation in Life and Health Insurance.
